Mannus Schomaker brings a multidisciplinary approach to his work as a Software Engineer at Saga, combining a deep understanding of computational science, artificial intelligence, and data-driven solutions. With a background in programming, machine learning, and data science, Mannus focuses on creating innovative tools and methodologies that enhance legal processes and support data-driven decision-making within the legal sector.
Mannus’s journey into legal technology began during his Master’s in Computational Science at the University of Amsterdam, where he explored how advanced computational methods could transform legal workflows. This led to the co-founding of IT Factor in 2020 alongside Tjeu Cox and Remco Visser, where he developed advanced data analysis tools for the legal industry. At Saga, Mannus continues this work, leveraging his expertise in cutting-edge technologies to drive operational improvements and deliver impactful solutions for clients.
In addition to his role at Saga, Mannus is completing a PhD at the AMOLF Institute for Experimental Physics, focusing on nonlinear mechanics and emergent control in soft robotics. This dual focus on academia and practical innovation enables him to bring fresh perspectives and advanced problem-solving techniques to his work at Saga, where he plays a key role in advancing the application of AI and data analytics in legal technology.

Mannus holds a Bachelor’s degree in Beta Gamma (general natural sciences), specializing in Cognitive Neuroscience, Programming, and Data Science, and a Master’s degree in Computational Science from the University of Amsterdam. He is currently completing a PhD at the AMOLF Institute, further expanding his expertise in dynamic systems and computational methods.
